The following list is not comprehensive.
I specialize in bookkeeping and financial organization. I typically perform tasks such as entering various data, categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts or providing reports which allow you to review important aspects of your company more easily. Most of my clients use Intuit's QuickBooks software which allows them to either send me an "Accountant's Copy" of their QuickBooks file which I work in and then return, or I remotely access their data through QuickBooks Online accountants access. It is best practice to have your books reviewed once a month (or quarterly) by a bookkeeper to keep the most current records and a good handle on all income, expenses, taxes and so on. If questions arise on what type of transaction(s) occur I will reach out to discuss it with you, but otherwise my goal is to take off some of the stress of owning your business. I am overjoyed to assist you but is important to remember ultimately you are in control of your business policies, activities and financial activities.

Account Reconciliations
Bank and credit card accounts need to be reconciled to ensure all your income and expenses are tracked and supported by your statement. I can do this for you especially if you have a QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) or QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Ensuring your account reconciliations are correct and up to date also makes tax time easier for you and your tax preparer!
1099 Preparation
Throughout the year when a company pays any individual (or other small business) more than $600 they should get a W9 Form from them. 1099s must be issued for every entity described above by January 31 of the following year. These forms are routed to the IRS and the payee in order for them to track income. If the information is not collected and/or reported improperly the IRS may impose a backup withholding tax against the issuing company.
Bookkeeping Training
Would you like to learn how to handle your own bookkeeping? I can teach you how I'd maintain your books, restructure that plan to fit your desires & create SOPs so you feel well equipped moving forward. Please remember this will not happen in one day but you may learn a thing or two about your business along the way! If you are not a software or numbers person your talents might be found more in knowing who to trust! Feel free to ask me if I can accept a new client instead or hire someone you know for me to train in your place.

Sales Tax, TPT, Transaction Privilege Tax - this beast goes by many names. I file TPT Returns for my clients using spreadsheets we create together while reviewing the laws and regulations that apply to your industry.
